Last time I was in Billingborough was a couple of weeks back when I attended a flood meeting in the evening with the Environment Agency and Lincolnshire County Council leader Martin Hill.
I wanted to come back during the daytime to properly understand the impact of the flooding here, see some of the damaged caused, and learn about why the flooding has become more frequent.
Our Mayor has the chance to bring new investment to communities like this, above and beyond what is currently available, and as with other communities across Lincolnshire, I want us to have a plan and new investment to ensure we better mitigate against instances of flooding in the future.
